Shall I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And summer's lease hath all too short a date:
Sometime too hot the eye of heaven shines,
And often is his gold complexion dimm'd;
And every fair from fair sometime declines,
By chance, or nature's changing course untrimm'd;
But thy eternal summer shall not fade
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest;
Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,
When in eternal lines to time thou growest:
So long as men can breathe or eyes can see,
So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.
Comparing Love to the Seasons
Love, like nature, has a rhythm and a rhyme,
A language all its own that weaves a spell,
Similar to the seasons, both are sublime,
But love springs eternal, and nature can quell.
As winter freezes and snow covers the earth,
So, too, love can bring with it a chill,
But true love, like a warm fire, has its worth,
And can thaw even the coldest heart at will.
Springtime brings blooming flowers and new birth,
Just like love's journey, fresh and full of zeal,
And just like spring, love has the power to unearth
The most beautiful treasures we cannot reveal.
Summer is hot, wild, and filled with energy,
Similar to the passion of love's embrace,
And though the heat at times can cause agony,
Love always delivers us to that special place.
Fall is the time when nature prepares for rest,
Just as love sometimes needs a moment to pause,
To cherish its memories and refuel its zest,
So that it can thrive for many more years, because
Love is like the seasons, ever-changing yet constant,
A symphony of life, in which we are all participants.
The Power of Love
Love is the glue that binds us together,
The force that keeps us going regardless of the weather,
It is the light that guides us when all else is gone,
The melody that fills our hearts with its beautiful song.
Love is strong, but also fragile and delicate,
It can be a feather that tickles our soul elate,
Or a hammer that shatters our heart's defense,
But in the end, it is always worth the suspense.
Love can heal our wounds and mend our broken dreams,
It is the carpet that carries us to amazing extremes,
The fuel for our passions and the reason to live,
It is the answer to all that we can and can't give.
Love transcends all boundaries and limitations,
It breaks down the walls and fosters relations,
It is the sun that shines on our darkest days,
And the window that opens in a million ways.
For love is the essence of all that we are,
The hope in our hearts that takes us afar,
The rhythm that moves us and the beat that we feel,
And the words that we say when nothing else is real.
So, cherish the love that you have in your life,
Make it your purpose, make it your strife,
For in the end, when all else is done,
Love is the one thing that will always have won.
